A living archive, not a finished family tree.
The archive combines a GEDCOM inventory, family-held material, oral history, DNA clues, and targeted public-record research.
The research standard
Verified means a conclusion is supported by a primary record or several independent records that agree on identity. Plausible means the evidence points in one direction but an important identity or parent-child link is missing. Family legend preserves an oral tradition without treating it as proved or disproved.
What changed in this edition
The public tree no longer presents “Samuel Fulton Ervin” or the County Down generations as established ancestry. Maria Johansdotter’s Swedish household, August Chingren’s migration trail, Granville Courtright’s identity, and Walter Nickels’s possible aviation career are now shown with their conflicts and next proof points.
Built to keep expanding
Family members can use the protected contribution desk for corrections, stories, and records. Submissions enter a private review queue and never change the published tree automatically.
